About Dr Harding

Dr. Anton Harding has more than 40 years of experience. He consults privately at his rooms in Fitzroy. He also sees patients in public clinics at both RCH and Austin Hospital. He also works in Epworth Richmond as an on call physician.


He has experience in general paediatrics and paediatric endocrinology, covering diabetes and the latest in insulin pump therapy technology. He established the paediatric diabetes and young adult diabetes services at the Austin Hospital, and teaches medical students and supervises paediatric trainees.


Dr. Anton  has four adult sons - two of whom have followed him into Medicine.

When it comes to paediatric and adolescent medicine, hands on experience must be constantly supplemented by training reviews and additional study.   Dr. Anton Harding has made it his mission for more than 40 years to take his technical knowledge to new heights by joining a number of professional associations, including:

Expectations of Patients

1.

Book for regular reviews to maintain excellent care. For type 1 diabetes, we recommend 3 or 6 montly reviews

2.

Book early after appointments to minimise your wait for your next review. There is a wait for several months for bookings

3.

 Keep your referrals up to date. GP referrals expire after 12 months, and specialist referrals after 3 months

4.


If you have completed testing (i.e. radiology or pathology) and are expecting feedback, you must contact Dr Harding Reception especially if no appointment has been booked


5.

Communicate effectively and be respectful to all practice members
